In our small hotel we offer people a peaceful smoke free stay in a wonderful part of the world. Being small we have a limited number of quite distinct and beautifully appointed rooms so your booking with us is very important. We trust you will understand that to ensure guests are not disappointed and we are not financially disadvantaged, particularly by having unexpected vacancies, we need to place conditions on any bookings with us:

Booking Terms

These Booking Terms apply to Lanscombe House Hotel our officers, employees and agents (‘We’/’Us’/’Our’) and the person or legal entity making the Booking or to whom We supply services in respect of the Booking (‘You/Your’). These Booking Terms are governed by English law and apply to all Bookings except where We agree in writing other terms. By making a Booking You are deemed to accept these Booking Terms.

 

Bookings

Bookings are made and a contract between You and Us comes into effect when We accept a reservation from You. We will accept a reservation from you when We have confirmed Your reservation or received a credit or debit card data for either an agreed deposit (for telephone bookings) or received full payment of the total price quoted from You.

 

You must be able to enter into a legally binding contract and be over 18yrs to make a Booking.

 

Bookings must be paid for using an acceptable and valid credit or debit card or cash on arrival. Cheques will only be accepted if payment is made not less than 5 working days in advance of the payment due date.

 

When a Booking is confirmed, a reservation number is given. This number must be retained for access to the Booking details if cancellation or amendment is necessary.

 

Prices

All published rates include VAT where applicable (and local taxes) at the current rate.

 

Rates are per room per night and include breakfast.  If You have selected supplements they will be added to the total price of the Booking.  Rates do not include other costs you may choose to incur during Your stay (unless otherwise stated).

 

Rates quoted are correct only for the specific number of guests, nights and dates shown.  Should You change the number of guests, dates or room nights, then the rates are subject to change.

 

Availability

In the rare case that due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot deliver Your requested accommodation, You will be offered alternate accommodation or a full refund.

 

Arrival and departure

Check-in is from 16:00 to 21:30. Check-in times outside of those specified must be agreed with Us prior to arrival. Check-out is at 10:00.

 

Cancellations

If You cancel Your Booking more than 56 days (8 weeks) before 00.00 (GMT) on the date of arrival, a full refund of the amount paid less a charge of 5% will be processed to Your credit or debit card or a cheque will be sent to you within 5 working days.

 

If You cancel Your Booking more than 28 (4weeks) and less than 56 days (8 weeks) before 00.00 (GMT) on the date of arrival, the deposit will be forfeited or a full refund of the amount paid less a charge of £20 per room per night will be processed to Your credit or debit card or a cheque sent to you within 5 working days whichever is the smaller.

 

If You cancel Your Booking within 28 days of 00.00 (GMT) on the date of arrival, a charge equivalent to the total Booking price that includes any supplements selected by You will be levied.  If we can relet the room then a refund will be made less any shortfall we may incur by accepting a lower price for the room and less any commissions payable to third parties and less the original value of any nights when we are unable to relet the room. 

 

To make a cancellation You must call Us on 01803 606938 and quote Your reservation number, name and check-in date and have details of Your credit or debit card available.

 

Amendments

To amend Your Booking, call Us on 01803 606938. If you amend Your Booking within 28 days (4 weeks) of 00.00 (GMT) on the date of arrival, and as a result You cancel any room night with less than 28 days (4 weeks) notice a charge equivalent to the total price (including any supplements selected by You) for that room night will be levied unless we can relet the room.

 

Payment

The total price quoted for the Booking is payable and will be charged to Your credit or debit card at the time of an internet Booking. For telephone bookings a deposit will be taken and the remainder will be payable on arrival for cheque deposit payments and on departure for deposits held on a valid credit or debit card.

 

All additional goods and services purchased during your stay must be paid in full on presentation of invoice at check-out.

 

Conditions of stay

We have some standard rules that are designed to ensure that we comply with regulations relating to matters such as fire, health and safety, and to enhance the comfort and wellbeing of our guests. 

 

There is STRICTLY no smoking while inside the property at any time—see below

We do not accept pets

Any children must be well behaved children and supervised at all times

The quiet and peaceful ambiance is very important for our accommodation and guests will not make any unreasonable noise and in particular between 10.00 and 08.00

We do not accept groups of people unless previously agreed with us

 

We reserve the right to terminate Your Booking immediately without being

liable for any refund or compensation where You engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes a disturbance or nuisance to us or other guests or you breach any condition of stay.

 

No Smoking

As a special condition we will terminate your booking without notice and without being liable for any refund or compensation, we will charge you in full for the full duration of your original stay and we will charge a special cleaning surcharge of £100 if you smoke while you are anywhere inside the premises.

 

Liability

Other than for death or personal injury caused by Our negligence or misrepresentation, Our total liability to You is limited to the price of the Booking and to the fullest extent permitted by law all warranties are excluded and in no circumstances will We be responsible for any indirect or special damages.

 

We do not accept liability for any accident or loss from your car while on our premises, or the loss of valuables while left in your room.

 

We will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond Our reasonable control.

 

You are responsible for any damage or loss caused to Us or our Our property by Your act, omission, default or neglect and You agree to indemnify Us and  to pay Us on demand the amount reasonably required to make good or remedy any such damage or loss.
