News We close again for more refurbishments this winter on 3rd October until Easter. Last winter it was a new main roof and the old fuel stores renovated to form much needed office space and laundry store. This winter will be garden landscaping, a last section of roof replaced and the normal painting and guest room refurbishment. Our two children Jessica and Katie (ages 6 - 7 on September 5th & 8) are growing fast and are keen to help us with the hotel - you may well see them helping us around the place during your stay. We have started another programme of mattress replacement using the latest memory foam that is designed to give a wonderful nights sleep by evenly supporting every inch of your body. Cockington has now received a large grant to expand the crafts studios at the Manor House to create a creative hub for Torbay. We are soon to get some modern art in the water meadows: a beautiful new bridge and a surprisingly large entrance gate at the bottom of  the water meadows. We were inspected by Visit Britain at the end of April and have been upgraded to 5 stars in recognition of our service, quality of breakfast and guest accommodation!!!!
